You're home, starving, no cash handy, your cupboards/fridge - not much in there, you're desperate; what is the strangest concoction that you ever came up with and devoured?

al dente lasagna noodles (torn up) with the last bit of tomato sauce and popcorn.
My cousins and I were like that once and I carry mustard packets around with me because I love mustard so we sat there eating all of my mustard packets. My entire purse was full of mustard packets and candy so we ate that and believe it or not it was really good!
Or left over concessions like stale popcorn or hot and flat coke or juice.
stale cereal i.e. Captain Crunch with powdered milk. Nothing tastes nastier than powdered milk, no matter how cold the water is. This was back in the day when buying a bag of pot was more important than buying food. Nowadays, food is my primary purchase, and after being dirt poor for years, I rarely eat anything cheap. Not to say I eat expensive fancy stuff, but I try not to settle for garbage disguised as food, i.e. Taco Bell.
Peanut butter, bread; done.
Don’t rip on the Taco Bell, I love that stuff.
@sebulba23 I`m with you. I love McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell anything fast food but yet I am so skinny and don`t gain anything by eating unhealthy do it really doesn`t bother me!
When you eat REAL food, made by someone who can cook and takes great pride in making a meal, you realize that what you get at fast food places is reconsitituted hog slop masquerading as food.
I do because a lot of people in my family are GREAT cooks but when they don`t feel like cooking we choose fast food is that so wrong?
Probably a chopped celery and peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread. I like celery and peanut butter, so I thought it wouldn’t be too bad. I also like eating oreos and orange juice for some reason…I love them with milk but too, but is that totally strange?
No you have to try this
Get a banana and put peanut butter on it and put it in the microwave or oven and eat it, it is really good.
I always have bags of jasmine rice (brown or white) because it’s easy and cheap. I make rice and beans when I need a cheap meal to fill me up.
@LouisianaGirl, Fast food is full of corn filler and you end up with your hair having the same chemical composition as corn. Find and watch the documentary King Corn. You may never want to eat fast food, or cheap food, again.
water-gritts-and-oatmeal. Maybe peanutbutter, too.
leftover corn chips + black beans + shredded cheese + 2 minutes in the microwave = instant nachos.
Top with salsa, black olives and possibly sour cream.
I’ve tried putting stale Tostitos in the oven, in an attempt to resuscitate them to an edible state. It was not successful.
Chicken a la king, leftover macaroni, chicken in a can, sauce from another can I found under the sink… ew.
And I have had ketchup and mustard cracker sandwiches.
quick mashed potatoes, minute rice with butter and salt, quick grits you know I`m only a teenager and so I don`t make gourmet meals, i made spagetti and macoroni once!
Late last night, out of desperation, I had two slices of white bread (which I rarely eat, but that’s all I had in my freezer), thawed, ripped up and I dunked it in some warmed, creamed corn.
