I need a new computer and I have narrowed it down to two. A Dell laptop, or a Toshiba laptop. From your own experience/knowledge, which of the two do you recommend? Don’t say Mac.

Toshiba!
If you’re just a regular user, it really doesn’t matter. I have a Dell PC, but the Toshibas I’ve had have never caused me grief. So I like em. Eh, it’s really a negligible difference.
I’d go with a Dell personally. I like Toshiba, and I sell them often, but for some reason the Dell laptops have a bit more of an appeal to me since the new XPS models have an ambient lit keyboard, which I find just awesome. I’d say either way would be a good choice.
though a Mac would be better =)
I know nothing about Toshibas, but this is a Dell & it’s over 6 years old. It’s just keeps on truckin’. Have had no trouble with it. I’d say Dell. Just my opinion, of course.
I have a toshiba and its very nice.
Dell! Like that we had it configured to our personal use. Have the lap top too..and have one in my office…been happy with all of them.. and the monitor clarity is incomparable.
Those are the only 2 brands of laptops I’ve ever owned, and (personally) I wanted to throw the Toshiba in front of a bus just about every day, and it only lasted about 2 years before it just completely crapped out—it’s probably the worst piece of technology I’ve ever owned in my life, while on the other hand, I love my dell. I’ve had it about 3 years now, and it’s still doing awesome. I’ve reformatted it once, (I had to have the toshiba reformated at least 7 times), with the dell it was just to help it run a little faster as I had gotten a lot of junk on it over the years, and it’s still just like the day i bought it. I’ve bought a new charger for it, and a new DVD/CD drive after the 1st one quit working. Other than that, everything is good as new, and I love it just as much today as the day I opened the box.
