The web is ever changing. Sites have to evolve to keep up with trends. Facebook has changed numerous times. What features or changes would you like to see fluther have?

Paginate the ‘Questions You’ve Asked’ so we all have a permanent list of all of our questions.
I keep meaning to e-mail them about this, as I brought it up a few months ago. I never remember. Or have time. :-P
A place to bookmark favorite questions.
I’d like to know who lurves me, but I know that’s out of the question.
Maybe the ability to block someone.
I’d like to be able to see what responses other members of the collective have received Lurve for… or at least those who are in My Fluther; often times my fondness for a particular individual is based on their Responses, not their Questions.
A list of the top ten questions/quips each year as voted on by flutherites and based on lurve.
Maybe not based on lurve exclusively..
1. time stamp the posts so we know how long ago a question was answered;
2. Put “stop following” at the BOTTOM of page. I usually read what people have to say and THEN make the decision.
I’d love to be able to delete my PMs by the page and not have it then refresh to the last one. Clicking and waiting and finding the pagination is tedious.
@asmonet ”as voted on by flutherites and based on lurve.” :)
I think, when a question is answered, it should be moved to the top of the question list, no matter how long ago the original question was asked. I may add a comment to an old question and no one is going to respond because it’s an old question, buried.
Oh and maybe a profile page with categories to fill in like on Facebook. That way we can get to know a little more about each other which also helps understand why people answer the way they do.
But still based on lurve, meh, I guess if the majority of Flutherites agreed on a thread there’d be lurve a plenty, but meh whatever. Unimportant nitpicking on my part. :-p
@Mr_M: But that’s why we can follow or stop following, for those who even want to continue, they can, and if they’re not interested any longer it’s not a hassle. It’s one of the things I like about fluther, no ’bumping’.
@essieness: we have profile pages where we fill out our topics of interest and expertise—but not everyone is very thorough… I doubt it would be much different with a different profile format.
I would like there to be some standardized way to tag questions. Sometimes if I have time to go through the main page, I see questions that I think should have been directed to me, but weren’t because of tagging inconsistencies/inadequacies.
@asmonet then good old questions won’t be answered if people don’t think their new answer will be read and responded to?
It’s a risk you have to take, personally, I think the good points far outweigh the bad.
I second Mr_M on the ‘stop following’ button moving to the bottom of the page. But not on the time stamp.
Me too. Or have it both places.
Also, as suggested by SueanneTremendous: A notification if your user name is mentioned in a thread.
I still like the time stamp idea. And a gender selection in the profile. Some of the users on here… I have no idea if they’re a man or a woman. I don’t like that.
I kinda like the gender ambiguity, I find the misconceptions intriguing.
I like time stamps. There recently was an iPhone question that resurfaced… I had answered over a year ago, and much has changed since then.
Maybe there could be some kind of rating system so that when someone asks an R-rated question, younger users or users who don’t like that content can avoid it.
They might be more inclined to click it too. :-/
That’s true, I did think about that, but so many people are so offended when they click on something and it’s about sex or booze or some such like that.
@KatawaGrey. In cases like that though, they have the option to just move along without doing or saying anything which is probably for the best. If it really is that problematic for them, they can always flag the question but there is no need for them to unnecessarily rock the boat, in my opinion. If it is too out of bounds, the moderators will hit on it.
True. Maybe just a red dot or something to denote more mature topics like anatomy, sex and drug questions. Something unobtrusive. I mean, everything here is at least supposed to be PG-13 acceptable or so. But eh, I dunno. Might be nice, might not. I’d have to see it in action.
Or just introduce a filter. So it doesn’t even show on the question, just blocks it if you’re not interested.
Yeah, that’s probably better. I hear a lot of complaints about some of the content.
@Bluefreedom: As always, I respect your opinion very highly but a lot of people stop by these questions and complain about them instead of just moving on.
@KatawaGrey. Thank you. And I know exactly what you mean and I wish there was less of that going on here. You just have to take the good with the bad, hope for the best while expecting the worst, and take everything in stride.
@Bluefreedom: I try that, but sometimes I get angry (as you probably have seen) but I also like to mess with them sometimes (as you probably also have seen).
i don’t really want to see any changes in fluther. usually when a website changes, it’s for the worse. everyone seems to hate the new facebook. the new myspace changes seem to me to be more problematic and annoying than helpful/interesting. i love fluther for being fluther, and i hope it stays this way (:
maybe i’m just old fashioned
@KatawaGrey. No worries either way. We’re all in this together, my friend. =)
I spend so much time at work on fluther, that I often don’t get lunch until 3 or even 4 in the afternoon. Is there any way fluther could deliver lunch???
When someone PM’s me and I hit reply, I would like to see the original message above the reply box. I am on my iPhone so maybe this already happens on the actual site.
I think it’s a good idea to have older questions brought back to the top, or even a seperate column for recently answered questions.
@elijahsuicide : Just bite the bullet for now and copy and paste the salient parts of message. I am still trying to delete PM’s from 2006. (And only use a desktop.)
@gailcalled unfortunately copy and paste is an option still not available on the iPhone. Silly, I know. Maybe someday soon…
@elijahsuicide: They’re supposedly announcing iPhone OS 3.0 tomorrow… my fingers are crossed!
@hearkat yeah it probably includes everything except cut and paste LOL.
What would be really great would be a feature that would allow you to download all your questions, answers and private comments to your computer, instead of having to hunt them down, copy and paste them all individually.
