Congratulations!! I know you’re so proud.
CONGRATS!!!
Happy Birthday Valeria!
She looks a lot smaller than you, in the picture at least, but maybe that’s just the angle. Congratulations!
How does your son feel about being a brother? And how are you doing?
Congratulations to your family! Enjoy the joys of motherhood and try to get some sleep :)
PS – Valeria is a beautiful name!
Yay little Valeria is finally here! I bet her big brother is proud and congrats to you and your family I bet she is a wonderful blessing!
Such a little sweetheart. Blessings!
She is gorgeous! Congratulations! I hope she lives up to her name and is healthy and strong.
Cangrats! Wonderful news.
Oooooo, Ahhhhhhhh, adorable! Many blessings to you and your entire family.
Congratulations! She’s adorable! Valeria is such a beautiful name :)
How wonderful! Congratulations and she is beautiful. :) Beautiful name, too!
Congratulations to your family, enjoy your time with her!
Oh so sweet! Congratulations!
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Welcome to the world, little one! Congratulations : )
My best wishes to you and your family. I am particularly partial to binfants with hair (but then again, I love bald babies.)
How come 11 out of 13 “congratulations” did not get a GA?
AWWWWWWW! Bay-bee! She’s beautiful! Congratulations!
(edit: That was supposed to be “infants”. I blame the “b’” on Milo.)
Hmm, I see that everyone got GA’d. It is like inviting the entire 3d grade class or none to your birthday party.
@2late2be: Does it feel easier the second time around? Are you more relaxed? Valeria looks pretty mellow.
9 lbs. Holy Toledo.
I’m really surprised that my “question” wasn’t moderated
@Harp the big brother is just excited, he keeps saying “Bebe, bebe” he likes to touch her, and last night he saw me cuddling the baby girl and I guess he wanted some too, he came and cuddled on my legs, he fell asleep right there, I’m trying to give him as much atention as I can, but he wants more, and me, I’m doing just fine considering that I had an episiotomy and it hurts like hell!!! LOL!! She weighted 9 lbs so of was very painful to deliver her but just by being healthy and seeing her smile worths everything that I went trough. Thanks everyone!
@gailcalled I was wondering the same about the GA! I gave GA’s to everyone by the way ;)
Best wishes to you, your family and your darling little girl!
she’s a beautiful babe
Aw!!!! Congrats! Soooo pretty! What a great post to open. Xoxoxo
She’s gorgeous! Congrats!
@gailcalled it feels much relaxed, yes. I’m not as afraid to touch her and hold her like the first time, but the pain was way worse! With my first I didn’t felt anything, the epidural took away all pain, bit this time I was able to feel my legs, and the pressure “down there” when she was pushing, I felt like I was gonna pass out! But she came out and I forgot everything else…
<== in complete awe of women
Nine lbs is a *lot*of baby. Both of mine were just under 8 lbs and that was no picnic, either time.
Are babies, on the average, heavier at birth today than say, 50 years ago?The average infant was 6.5 – 7 lbs. Now they’re 9 and 10 lbs, routinely.
@gailcalled
Surprisingly, no:
“The percent of infants born with higher-than-average birth weights (4,000 g or more, or at least 8 pounds, 13 ounces) has been declining for more than a decade, as reported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services” source
mine was 7.15 and i thought that was big haha. i think between 7–8 is a good range, anything above that is considered “big” in my own opinion.
@Harp: Thanks for doing the research. Your stats cover only the past decade, however. My family seem to have birthed baby giants, or giant babies recently.
aww itty bitty
FELICIDADES!! I love how her name is VALERIA and not valerie.
