What inspires my head-over-heels love for the band, The Postal Service?
I know I’m 6 years late, but I just discovered this amazing band, The Postal Service. Can’t stop listening to the album.
Do you love them too? I can’t put my finger on what makes this album so great. Can you?

Their lyrics are so amazingly unique. Also in Nothing Better I love the harmony between the guy and the girl singing.
But, like you, I can’t quite put my finger on it. I’ll have to listen some more and think about it :) Brings me back a few years
Unique is, I think, a primary ingredient in awesomeness.
Is that our own shilolo appearing in the video for Such Great Heights?
You know, I’ve had their CD since high school I think, and I still listen to it and love it. It’s just so darn catchy and fun.
Kind of piggy-backing on JohnPowell’s comment—you should totally check out Rilo Kiley’s first CD the Execution of All Things. It’s a bit different but also awesome.
It is clear to me that it is the result of Fluthering too much, which results in overexposure to AstroChuck and, thus, a new addiction is born.
Because they’re awesome. :)
Ben Gibbard’s voice is like a snuggly blanket. does that make sense to anyone except me?
I still love that CD. Good memories :-)
I am a huge fan of The Postal Service. I love the fact that, even though what they’re signing about might not be deep or ground breaking, they still manage to create a sound that simply overwhelms me.
@Likeradar it makes a whole lot of sense to me. (:
