Do you wash new sheets before putting them on the bed?
I do, I always wash new sheets. I also wash underwear and socks. To you is this needless or imperative?

Yup, always for sheets. Not so much for socks or underpants though.
Imperative, yes! All that sizing, and machinery grime, and packaging handlers germs lurking…ick!
Yes! You never know who was handling them before you. With sheets, it is in part to get rid of the new sheet smell. With underpants and socks—I usually buy them loose so they’ve definitely been handled a bit before. Washing them is a huge must!
Yes, I wash sheets. They feel a bit stiff if I don’t. Underwear of course, especially bras. Someone else probably had their boobies in it.
Yes, always do. They’re not so “crunchy”; softens them up a bit.
Actually washing sheets and any material that will come into direct contact with your skin is NOT needless. Aside of the fact that the cotton growing process requires pesticides there can be outside contaminants during transport.

Most always. I can’t think of a time I haven’t. I have sensitive skin, if someone on the sheets were to irritate me..then that’d be my dumb fault for not washing them.
I wash mostly to get the sizing/starch out. Double wash, lots of fabric softener.
You’re supposed to WASH sheets?
I wash EVERYTHING new that comes into this house. From sheets, to all articles of clothing. Nothing gets worn until it’s been washed. Sheets? Lord, yes.
I find washing every thing that comes into my house is imperative. I even wash groceries, as much as possible. I am allergic to a lot of things, and have to wash the clothing and other items in my pure soap to avoid exposure.
