As to the removing of tragically misspelled things, does that mean fluther team tolerates no lolcat speak and other nonsense?

[Mod says] Yes, you are right, we are fairly strict about poorly spelled Qs and quips. Outright textspeak is not tolerated. Words like crapulence will be ok. I see Andrew is crafting too, he’ll have more to say as well.

I love lolcats as much as the next guy (just wait until you see our server maintenence page), but unless you’re being creative with it, leave it for your rockin’ SMS.

Just don’t be excessive. We lol4rl here, and use IMHO and OMG, but please use words. I’m too old to decipher all those strings of letters.

I always thought that capitalizing IMHO was sort of antithetical to the actual message being conveyed.

Doesn’t the smell of the singed fur, the burning captions, and the sizzling glue used to attach the one to the other rather stink up the place?

As it happens, crapulence is a very real and very old (from the Latin) word and relates to “the drinking of alcohol or drunkeness,” if you want to be literal.

And the clearer, more concise and original you are, the more we will worship and adore you. That doesn’t mean you can’t be funny…there was this man who walked into a bar with a parrot on his shoulder.
