Freshly squeezed OJ for me, please.

@jmah so you like the pulp?

I don’t mind it.

Fresh OJ, preferably light pulp.
Cranberry.

I am not sure what my “standards” are in terms of juice, although I do require it to be tasty, unfermented, and at least cool if not cold. I would prefer it to be from fruits grown with a minimum of chemicals and when possible from local farms, but that is not always possible. However, in terms of what juices I like best, that would be:

Fresh OJ, pulp is fine (my all-time favorite)
Blueberry or Blueberry-Pomegranite (lovely if staining)
Cran-Raspberry
Guava Nectar (Tropical bliss)
Fresh lemonade, limeade or sour orangeade, preferably homemade
Apricot nectar
Tamarind “juice” (more like tamarind ade actually, but lovely all the same)

While I like the idea of carrot juice I just don’t like the reality of it. I am now allergic to pineapples, cantaloupe, strawberries, mangoes and so cannot drink juices which include those components. I also simply don’t like the flavor of acai. I also used to love freshly squeezed grapefruit juice but now I take medicines that don’t play well with grapefruit juice so it is gone from my pantry, alas, alack and lackaday.

@Darwin interesting. by standard i meant with added sugar or not..with added water or not..etc

@_Liz – Well, that would depend on the juice, you know. The “ades” by definition contain both sugar and water, since the juices by themselves are sour and quite intense. However, I vastly prefer 100% juice, not from concentrate, organic, and freshly squeezed when possible, but I will accept juices with added Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and/or Calcium because my family is lactose-intolerant.

I avoid those “juices” that are the equivalent of “cheese food.” Typically these say “10% Real Juice!” somewhere on the label. With the exception of the “ades” I prefer unsweetened juices, but if they are sweetened then it should be with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.

I also wonder about juices that require artificial coloring or flavoring.

Oh! Well in that case—lemonade and limeade should have added sugar, but otherwise I like straight juice.

Juice is all I drink (well, milk as well, but you know) because I don’t like water. I drink a lot of lemonade, orange juice, grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, cherry-pom, pineapple juice… Whatever, just no tomato juice!

bprz's avatar

mM only standard is that it must contain 100% juice.

I love apple juice. Pineapple juice is good. I like orange juice and grapefruit juice without the pulp. I like mixed together juices too like pineapple/orange, cranberry/grape and strawberry/kiwi juices.

Tits, I only drink juice as well. I can’t stand water.

I don’t have “standards”, other than it has to taste good lol.
I like apple, cranberry (most all varieties of cranberry mixed with other fruit juice), lemonade, orange juice…uhh, others probably.

_Liz's avatar

@Allie mixing is good :)

Cran-raspberry, 100% juice.
Orange juice with no pulp.
I also like the V8 Fusion juices. Full serving of vegetables in my fruity juice? Win!

@casheroo : YAY! People always look at me funny when I say I don’t like water… There’s just something gross about the way it tastes. Can’t do it, nope nope.

EmpressPixie's avatar

@TitsMcGhee, @casheroo: I can’t stand water either! It’s just… gross. If there is so much ice in it you can’t taste anything because your mouth is numb, I can do it, but otherwise, I’ve gotta add some flavor to mask the taste.
