I have seen younger kids- maybe high school or late teens walk past people including me and the burp really loud, spit on the ground or even fart! Even though these seem like normal bodily function it just seem to me as an observer that these people mean it to be offensive – what do you think???

not only teens.. You can notice this sort of behavior also with Security guards and mean bus drivers. Anyone who hates their job really. I think people tend to mistreat others whenever they don’t perceive there to be a benefit in investing in that relationship.
They like to be shocking. I personally think they are being stupid, instead.
Even though they are just kids as some might label them and just doing adolescent things, these actions still happen to be rude, immature, and unpleasant, especially when performed right in front of someone. Did I mention that they’re inconsiderate also?
Doesn’t it usually happen in groups? False bravado. It has nothing to do with you, they are showing off to their friends.
If people were honestly impressed by farting it should stand that I’d be a much more popular guy.
But about the question… that’s definitely uncalled for and just stupid, I can’t say I’ve ever noticed anything like that though – affront-via-gas.
It simply means that they are rude, unloved people.
Though I am rather unbothered by people burping or farting in any context (I can sympathise with others dislike of the mannerisms and do not approve of them based upon such) spitting when walking passed or being near someone is rude primarily on the basis that any person of sound and sober mind should know that doing so could easily result in them spitting on the person or people in question which is rarely looked upon favourably in any situation.
When someone burps or farts generally can actually be kind of funny but you can tell when someone is doing something just to be rude/shocking and it is pretty annoying! I just pretend I didn’t hear a thing, I don’t look at them or stop what I was doing- I don’t want to give them any satisfaction.
They’re trying to get a reaction from you so you’re best to ignore it.
