Would you like to know the books they picked?
Book and movie recommendations seem to be a pretty regular topic here on Fluther. I would be interested to know which suggestions were taken and whether the suggestees liked them.

I think all you book nerds need to join Goodreads and add me as a friend.
Sorry that’s off topic, but that’s a great way to recommend books and keep up with them.
I am currently reading White Oleander, and I plan to read Poisonwood Bible and Middlesex after it. All of these books were recommended in the recent thread by zarnold. I will wait till I have completely read White Oleander before I give my opinion on that.
I also read Possible Side Effects by Augusten Burrough (sp?) and The Last Summer (of you and me) by Ann Brashares as recommended in the thread asked by Marina last summer. I won’t go into it right now, but I didn’t care for either. I hear that Burroughs has better books and I should give his “Dry” (I think?) a chance before I form an opinion. So now that is on the reading list. As for the book by Brashares, I thought it strictly average and I think she is having trouble making the move from teen genre to adult.
I watched Groundhog Day as recommended by shilolo. No comment.
Hmm that’s all I can think of so far. What about you, Supermouse?
@essieness – Did you know Fluther has a Shelfari group?
@essiness
I don’t know much about the group but it’s hard to take a group seriously who voted The Catcher in the Rye and Lord of the Flies as 2 of the top 10 worst books ever written?
@essieness Ive never met someone else in real or Internet life who would admit knowing that site other than the person who introduced me to it.
@Mamradpivo Goodreads?
@seventhsense What group are you referring to? I don’t do the groups on there, I just use it to bookmark my books to read and keep up with what I’ve read and so on.
@essieness
On the opening page the Worst Books ever written heading. The Coulter books I wholeheartedly agree with but the ones I mentioned are basically part of the canon of groundbreaking literature.
@SeventhSense Yeah, some groups list Twilight as the best ever as well… I think that stuff is all voted on by users, so I don’t really go by those.
Goodreads lists all the books I was to read the summer before my freshman year of college or ones that I read in high school. Perhaps it is aimed at a younger audience than I!
@all You’re all coming off as book snobs. And pretty condescending, actually.
