If you or someone you know has had significant hairloss, is there a vitamin/nutrient/herb that was used to get the hair to grow normally again?

I’m not talking about “normal” men’s hairloss or anything pregnancy related, or hereditary hairloss.

Prenatal vitamins are actually a wonderful way to increase the health of hair, incidentally is this for a man or a woman?

Also, regular care, not just shampooing and washing. But not combing when wet, conditioning properly, understanding their hair type and improving their diet will help considerably.

@asmonet Tnx – it’s for a woman. I’m wondering if anyone has had any success with a particular vitamin or action they took, something i can put my finger on. Taking care of the hair is not an issue, as i take good care of mine. :)

@asmonet I had a hairstylist tell me that prenatal vitamins were great for growing hair too. But my doctor also said it can increase fertility somewhat. Decisions, decisions…

You definitely need to get yourself some snake oil.

Is your hair falling out, or breaking off? If it’s the former, I’d go to the doctor about it as certain medical conditions (as well as plain old stress!) can cause that. If it’s breaking because it’s dry and/or brittle, then a prenatal vitamin might help along with really good conditioner. (I think you have to go to the doc to get prenatal vitamins, too… but it’s been so long I can’t remember!)

@augustlan Nope, it’s falling out. I have an idea it was some pills i was using for some years that started it. I’ve stopped taking those pills for over a year now i think, but my hair isn’t growing back, it still seems to be falling out. :/

Sounds like it’s time for a doctor’s appointment! Good luck. :)
