OK Flutherites, as a show of appreciation to you, I give you this: one of Wis.dm's best all-time threads. Will you please check it out to see what we're about?

Nice cultural exchange! (Did someone tell you about pancakes and frizzers already?)
I’ve heard much about these flapjacks. What’s the skinny?
Oh wow…soooooo freakin slow…..
@kevbo I saw that thread! Hilarious!!
@kevbo good call :). They were all linked in one of the first intro threads to Wis.dm-ers. I would recommend anyone that is curious go and find it. There were some real fluther classics in there.
@adreamofautumn at first I thought….why did they send me here? Is this what I can expect??!!
i don’t get it….how do you read the responses to the questions? or do all of the questions require a yes/no answer?
UPDATE: Nevermind…i guess some are yes/no, some are not
@DutchCat hey you can expect great things from Jellies…usually you can expect wit, sarcasm, hilarity, and a strong urge to correct your spelling and grammar :).
@ccatron Half of them are nonsensical. That’s the point. They’re just… hilarious. Just for clarification: they’re links posted to questions other users (bluefaces) asked.
@ccatron if you want to read the response, just click on the Q….no, you don’t HAVE to answer y or no to comment, either…
@Kelly27 This is the first time I’ve ever seen it! Hilarious! Good choice! I think of Simone’s Roast as a classic…but unless you know the people involved it might not make much sense….Truth or Dare anyone? :)
@DutchCat – yeah, i got that…but it seemed that after I clicked on them I saw no answers. it turns out that those were the yes/no questions…
@ccatron The questions linked there were a running joke, as in really bad questions that no one would answer.
That was hysterical; thanks for sharing that @Jiminez!
@DutchCat I wish I could find the Art show. If you come across it will you let me know?
@ccatron All wis.dm questions can be commented on, be they Y-N or whatever. Some questions just don’t receive any comments. Especially if they are ridiculous.
Here is the legendary frizzer question.
Awesome! My favorite…
how do mother stroggul to race their children?
Wow, that was way before my time on wis.dm. Perhaps that’s a good thing…
@Dave…“Frizzer” become part of my everyday vocabulary now!! LOL! And I just read it for the first time 3 days ago!!
@ru2bz46 There were a lot more bluefaces back then.
@forestGeek That’s a great one but this one’s a classic: “portable with holes, makes clicking sound kind of sounds like a clicking sound?”
:D
This is a Fluther classic.
@Jiminez – yeah, that one for certain. good stuff!
@cwilbur I saw that one too. That was hilarious.
This was before my time, but so funny!
@lazydaisy You know what…..at that time they didn’t have the “scenes.” It was just one great big party, like it is here. After they changed it….we seemed to lose so much of that fun stuff…
What is Wis.Dm and how do we get to join?
@dalton just google wis.dm, and the first hit should get you there…but it’s dying. And sometimes it takes forever to get a reply posted….
Well, it’s actually scheduled for termination in a couple weeks.
Hey Get! I see you crafting a response! Welcome!
@getoffmylawn – Do they plan on leaving it up so the posts can still be seen, or is it gone forever?
My guess is, it will be summarily taken down.
The whole reason it’s being terminated is that they could never get it to be self-supporting. A read-only site would simply cost money to maintain and likely draw even fewer views.
I just checked it out…thanks. Looks like a nice site…why is it closing?
Hey!
I can’t find my old avatar – I know it’s on my Mac, SOMEWHERE – but, I figure I used this one long enough, previously that people might still know it. I couldn’t find the angry cats one, yet, either.
@getoffmylawn You need to find the two cats, I wouldn’t have recognized you if Dutchess hadn’t said something. :)
@getoffmylawn Yes yes! The two upside down cats! We must have them!
@dalton—It is a nice site but…they made some changes to it about a year ago (the scenes) that kind of…wrecked the community…...and those changes were expensive I think. Just couldn’t sustain it.
