I avoid both.
It seems too cultish to me. And really, I don’t need to know when my friend is going to the grocery store or getting her cat spayed. I just don’t get it.
Facebook. MySpace seems to have a younger audience, except for their niche in music marketing. If you’re a musician, then MySpace Music is de rigeur.
I modified my hosts file so myspace goes to localhost. Seriously, 30 youtube videos and auto playing music. Fuck that.
Facebook, my sister tried to friend me. Fuck that. Deleted account.
I had a MySpace account for about 1 week before I determined it really wasn’t worth a crap and I cancelled that outright. I have a Facebook account which I visit about once a week, maybe, and even that isn’t highly impressive. Especially now that they just changed the look of the homepage which made it even worse, in my opinion.
No. I only fluther while I listen to Last.fm. I don’t have the time for anything else.
I used to participate on MySpace, but I gave that up. I’ve been invited to join Facebook by friends. I prefer to stay away from both venues. Too many coworkers have been reprimanded when The Powers That Be found postings that were “undesirable”.
The heck with all that! I’ll keep my subversiveness verbal :)
Is that a micro recorder in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?
Facebook, because it’s vastly superior.
i use Myspace mainly for bands.
i have Facebook , Bebo and tagged non get used, unless i get notifications
I had a myspace, but i don’t like it at all, so i don’t use it anymore. I have a facebook to keep in contact with friends – it’s like an online phone book, or something! :)
I have a facebook account, but it is rarely used.
I’ve been asked to join facebook 100 times & I won’t do it. I agree with syz. I don’t need to read or keep a running daily diary with someone. And now I’m hearing that people don’t like the upgrade they did.
A friend suckered me into joining myyearbook & I wish I’d never done it. If I knew how to delete my account, I would. I never go there.
I use Facebook far more than Myspace, but I still have a Myspace.

have both. myspace for the music and facebook for the friends.
I use Facebook.
Follow-up question: so?
I love Facebook. It’s starting to cut into my Fluther time, though.
I use both for different reasons. Usually on Facebook I will only accept friends requests from people I know, on Myspace I’ll accept pretty much anyone :D
I use facebook. I don’t use it much, but it’s good to keep up with the lives of people I don’t live near anymore with very little effort.
I am going to join facebook very soon but one thing that concerns me is the likelyhood of someone i know casually, (like a coworker or neighbor) looking me up and finding out my personal stuff. i don’t want to be scrutinized by people i don’t necessarily like.
I’m definitely more of a Facebook person. =] I like how everyone’s page looks the same. You know where all the buttons are. None of that flipping, and moving, and disappearing until your mouse hovers over it crap. K.I.S.S.
I have both, but I find Facebook much easier to use and I don’t really mind the recent changes. Myspace seems to attract a younger crowd and the musically inclined. I love FB for keeping up with out-of-town friends and posting pictures.
@jca: You can choose who can view what on Facebook, that shouldn’t be an issue. :)
Both. I don’t know why though.
Myspace I had just for promoting my own websites. Couple weeks ago my profile spontaneously combusted and I’m not rebuilding it. Facebook I had for a month or two…found it to be a huge waste of time and deleted it. I tried Tagged and those jerk offs will not stop emailing me even after I deleted my account.
I currently waste copious amounts of time on TWITTER :) twitter.com/daethian
@Daethian What is Twitter, I’ve heard the name but have no clue what it’s all about?
@vegelizabeth It’s called micro blogging but think of it like this. Texting to a group at once via the web to a group of people who chose to read your texts. You can find other people who text/tweet interesting stuff and follow their tweets. When my friend told me about I said… Twitter Schmitter who cares!? now I’m hopelessly addicted to it!
The @name is a Twitter function.
Facebook.
Myspace is too emotionally involved in how you have to use your profile to visually express your personality and/or relationship status. This is why I actually prefer Twitter to everything because it’s short, no tagging pictures and such, and is way more informative as you can follow newspapers, political figures, and celebrities.
I use both, but i prefer FaceBook
i now use tumblr ! my new fave :)
