Do you believe in luck? And if so, do you think it is a lucky event or a lucky time period?

If you have one lucky thing happen to you, do you try to ‘push’ your luck and see if it will continue, or do you see this as an isolated lucky-thing-then-maybe-unlucky-thing?

For example, today I found a skirt in a shop: last one in the store and exactly my size. If you had a bit of luck like this, would you try to do something else in which you might have good luck? Say, ask someone out or call into a radio station to win tickets or something?

I don’t know why people talk about luck as if it exists.

I believe in chance. If something positive happens by chance, we deem it lucky. If something negative happens by chance, we deem it unlucky.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Nah, I would just figure it was meant to be. That particular incident, I mean. I don’t really believe in luck, I tend to believe that things happen the way they’re meant to happen. I would’ve just found the skirt and thought, “Sweet, I found a skirt I was supposed to find.”

My husband is fond of saying “you don’t have to be good when you’re lucky”. I find just the opposite to be true: you don’t have to be lucky when you’re good.
I have never had much luck depending on luck to get me by.
