I would get a lot more done. I lost electricity twice in the last 6 months, each time for more than a full week. It was a shock not to have the internet.
I didn’t have it when I was 0–17 years old. I managed. Had a lot more sex too.
The same things I did before. If I wanted to learn Arabic, I would go to the library, for example. We were without power for 6 days in Dec. What made it really difficult was the bitter cold. It was hard to socialize. However, our land lines kept us sane.
Read. Go to the library. Write actual letters.
Become a generic rat-race peon.
Pretty much what I did before internet but it would be tons more expensive: movies & music, writing clubs.
Being an old person like myself I managed to get through the first 35 or so years of my life without the internet and I could manage to get through the next 35 years without it. Not that I wouldn’t miss it tremendously though. For me it’s like having my own library that’s open twenty four hours a day; and how cool is that? I would really miss that but I would manage, even if it might take some getting used to now that kind of take it for granted.
I would start to smoke more and read very interesting books to increase my vocab and knowledge
