My friends birthday is saturday,i need adecent restaurant thats affordable and cool,any ideas?addresses and names as well as website links would be helpful.

My favorite, Mamma Leone’s, closed 15 years ago. I’m afraid I’m of no help, but thanks for the reminder of some lovely memories.
John’s Pizza on Bleeker Street is one of the best in the city.
There are a number of great Indian Restaurants on 2nd or 1st ave and 6th street, they’re pretty wild and colorful.
Hmmmmm…....
Red Bamboo on 4th st., just West of Washington Square is a PHENOMENAL vegetarian restaurant.
I’d stay away from chains. What’s the fun in that?
