Well, I live in the Netherlands, and we don’t have it yet, but I’m excited.
But I do finf it quite dumb that the iPhone isn’t launched in all coutries at the same time…

Love my iPhone.

And trust me Klass, Apple knows what they’re doing. You launch products when you a) Have adequate supply b) Meet government regulations.c) Larger markets come first.

It would be “dumb” to launch in all countries at the same time because Apple would have to wait indefinitely on some of them.

It always makes me laugh when people think they are smarter than those who run multi-billion dollar corporations who operate internationally.

love it but I have to keep my treo bc the email on the iPhone is painfully slow and only works sporadically. The contact database on the treo is also better and is more organized. Cardscan doesn’t directly work with iPhone. In short, a fun private tool but no work horse like the treo.

glial: I don’t say that I’m smarter than Apple, do I?
I think I used the wrong word there. I think I’ve have said ‘quite sad’.
I really want that thing! :-)

I’ve had one since July and I’m still amazed every time I pick it up. Yea there are some minor pitfalls of a first generation product (Edge data, no 3rd party apps etc) but even with it’s downfalls it is an amazing product. The browser and email alone have changed my mobile life.

djbyron I agree.
I love just walking around on MSN
and the keyboard Is addictive. LOL

Although I don’t like the way it always capitalises LOL. I want to type lol

youtube and google maps alone make it worth the cost of admission. I think the vast majority of iPhone owners love the product but admit that for certain features it lacks-the S-L-O-W EDGE network and certain basic functions on the most rudimentary of iPods (e.g. the ability to use the iPhone as a flash disk) and other technologies that exist on the phone but very poorly implemented (no A2DP or flash or video recording or even Voice memos!?!) and perhaps the biggest disappointment is the lack of Office / Exchange support.

But otherwise can’t put it down (as evidenced in this post!). Cheers Davey :)

easy does it glial-I don’t think klaas’ comments were meant as a commentary on business ethics just a fan’s POV?...

@glial good points though re: Apple and supply and deployment strategies.

yeah I agree
and its really annoying that hotmail isn’t supported but hey it certainly does more than any phone I’ve ever had before

I think it is an amazing device, but the software is only half baked. if you can wait until next spring we should see a 3G iphone with more apps…. then it will be really awesome. for now, it’s still really fun.

Official third party apps are coming in February, and the device will get even better. I love the email on the iPhone, can type super fast, and the sheer volume of information that can be stored with contacts is stellar.

I love this phone, in-fact, I’m posting this from it now.
