If you get a chance, a visit to all of them would be very enjoyable. I did the full tour with my oldest son many years ago, and he still speaks of the wonderful memories he has of that trip.
@Yarnlady I’m planning on just that. I’m going up the coast next week and can only get four in and I’m seeing which ones are going to be worth it this trip. I’m sure they all are worth it though.
@Dog I have seen that one and it is wonderful.
San Juan Capistrano, of course!
@jonsblond I think that’s one I’m planning on seeing, should be great!
@Sueanne_Tremendous that’s the one I live the closes to (Temecula) and it is spectacular, especially with the swallows.
@lataylor yeah it’s a beautiful town all together.
That’s right. Loved going to college there. Too bad it is cost-prohibitive to move back…
When I was younger, I lived not to far from San Juan Capistrano, we used to go on a field trip there every year to see the swallows come back. It holds wonderful memories for me. Thank you for the question, so I would remember those times again!
@laurenigula Yes, thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories for me too. I lived in San Luis Obispo for two years and it’s absolutely beautiful there. We have a heavy rain today that is going to turn to snow tonight, but now I’m picturing myself in SLO with it’s wonderful weather. Hope you have a great time. :)
@jonsblond Thankyou and I hope you have fun in the snow.
Thanks for all the helped me on this. I just got back on my trip. We saw 11 missions, all I have left are the four between San Jose and Frisco and then the inside of San Juan Capistrano. So far the winners are Carmel and Point Conception missions. If anyone is interested in photos they’ll be up on my deviantart, myspace and facebook! Thanks again everyone.
