Please discuss the pros & cons of having Chinese manufactured goods as opposed to Mexican manufactured goods?

I am curious to know what the ups & downs are of the US buying goods made primarily in just one of these countries mainly.

You support Target and Walmart when you buy from China, and you assist a corrupt government when you buy from Mexico.
I, still prefer the latter choice.
