As the cliche ”‘The grass is always greener on the other side” and chatting with some RL friend’s recently about this I was just curious what everyone’s thought’s were

I would stay in the united states, but I would definitely move to Maine. I love cold weather, and everyone is nice and polite. The fact that Maine is a decriminalized state, also makes it worth it.
The Italian countryside. It’s gorgeous. The plan is to hopefully move there when I retire.
The family and I would move to New Zealand if they would have us. I like the idea that to become a citizen you have to have some sort of worth that will better New Zealand. It is an absolutly beautiful and pristine place.
@Blondesjon I was going to say NZ too. My best girlfriend’s husband grew up there and they spend 4–5 months out of the year there. It’s a totally different way of life than we know here in the states. She said she loved not worrying about wearing makeup anywhere… people go to the grocery store in bare feet… it’s just a very laid back place. And beautiful!
France. Specifically Paris. It’s an amazingly beautiful city. Of course – the food – the culture – the people (yes – I find the French extremely friendly and gracious)
@Blondesjon – Yeah I live in New Zealand and immigration law’s slightly vary in that regard, I’m totally sure NZ would have you and your family!! (if your looking to potentially move here one day =P).
@essieness- LOL at the grocery shopping barefoot, I can definetely relate to that as it happen’s quite often going to the bakery in those weekend morning’s =P. I have classmates from the US currently at Auckland University it’s interesting to here all the contrast’s between the 2 country’s I’d love to see California, Florida or NYC one day soon! But yeah it is very laid back here, I don’t really think you’ll find all that fashion fab stuff unless your heading into certain part’s of the city or some mall’s I know =P, in Auckland anyway.
I wouldve put where i’d ideally like to live one day but its a clash between either Italy, Hawaii, or another beautitul state in USA =^.^=
If I also was forced to move out of the Netherlands (where I feel quite pleasant, really :), I think I’d like to give Ireland a try. But if it were the case, I’d think longer about it :P
London, UK. I’m totally aware that everything there isn’t lovely and rosy, yet when I’m there, it feels like home.
If it had to be somewhere else than California (because I would choose California as #1), I would probably live in Hawaii. Italy is a possibility too.
Probably Sweden (although I want to visit first!)
Liberal politics, progressive on animal and environmental issues, and plenty cold enough :>)
Greece. Because I’m Greek, but I don’t know anything about being Greek :D
Chili, Tasmania or New Zealand. These countries have the climate, geography and relatively descent economises and political systems. They also have rivers with rainbow trout, mountains, ocean and descent wine.
I’d live in greater Boston, Massachusetts, probably within 10 miles of where I live now.
If I had the wherewithal, though, I’d travel a lot more.
Anywhere in France. I’m taking French class, as some of you may know, and it’s my dream to visit France (Paris, too) at least once in my life.
Or maybe Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, or Germany. But France would definitely be my first choice. (:
I’m in the Redwoods…Can’t think of a better place to be….
Anywhere, as long as it’s not America.
@Maverick…I used to feel the same way until I visited Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin. It’s much more laid back up there and there is a very “anti-big government” vibe that resonates in the lifestyle.
New Zealand is my ideal. Up North is my likely reality. I can definitely live with either.
depends on the circumstances
my favourite country used to be the Czech Republic, but it’s too touristic now. I liked Poland, but I’d only go back if I had plenty of money. And I’ll go and die in Australia when my time comes, but it’s a one-way trip and I can’t imagine going there now and being stuck forever.
