Should my hands feel like they are about to go numb if I hold my arms horizontally to the floor at shoulder height and then with palms beginning facing down lift my fingers towards the ceiling?

because I like doing this too (as well as the back clicking cracking thing!) but think that perhaps this is not so healthy…
and because i presume it’s just something simple to do with tendons stretching…If i keep doing it will it eventually stop feeling like they are about to go numb…or just drop off….
I wonder whether they do actually go numb if I keep them there long enough…. one mo’

I just did it and that happened to me too. I think it might have something to do with the tendons like you said but also your hands might actually be cutting off circulation to your arms when you do that.
Did that make sense? I’m running on not much sleep.
(perfect sense thank you x) and I can’t actually hold them like that for that long…it begins to hurt…
When I do that, the only thing that happens is that I break out into 2 choruses of “There’s No Business Like Show Business”. Is that normal?
I’ve had similar numbness in the past due to me carrying a satchel full of mail on my shoulder for the past 24 years. I’m guessing you might have a pinched nerve in your neck, or possibly a slipped disk. Have the doc check you out. After some physical therapy it’s been much better for me.
lol @Mr_M very funny….I like it… but I won’t obviously be able to do that now without breaking into song!
@KatawaGrey: I agree. Depending on how flexible you are at the wrists, you can bend the hands back almost straight up (I can) and yes, reduce the circulation to get numb and cold.
@VzzBzz: I thought so. It feels similar to when I move a part of body that has fallen asleep. :)
The same thing happens to me, @KatawaGrey
Hey, my buddy’s just like me! :D
