Anyone here know anything about eyebrow threading?
I always either get my eyebrows waxed or do them myself, but I was thinking about trying eyebrow threading. Has anyone here experienced it and is it better than waxing? Does it hurt?

There was an article on this in the NY Times a while back, and you might be able to find it in the archives. What I remember is that the process is very fast and good.
Threading is great if you can find a salon offering it. Unlike waxing which can rip a thin bit of skin away and leave behind dry chaffing yuk yuks, threading can go over a spot several times and not do any harm. It’s painful though.
I tend to not do too well with waxing. I don’t know if it’s what they use right after they wax your eyebrows or if my skin is just too sensitive – so I tried threading. please keep in mind I haven’t had this done in some time, now, due to chemotherapy and the lack of hair!
I’ve had mine threaded, before. If works great, I didn’t find it more painful, but my best friend did. I found it to be a bit painful at the arch area -and the end of the eyebrow.
It’s fast, no chemicals and you get a very nice clean look. It’s perfect for someone that experiences irritation, like I do from waxing.
My girlfriend gets threading done every couple weeks, and she swears by it. She says it’s stings a bit, but not much.
Oh, I’m going to have to look into this. I actually have a scar in my eyebrow from waxing. I still get it done on occasion, but I always tell them my skin is super sensitive. Even then, I have angry red welts around the brows for a day or two afterward. This sounds like a great alternative!
Sweet, thank you all for the information! I have some skin sensitivity problems too so it seems like a great alternative to waxing. I am going to make an appointment and see how I like it! :)
@augustlan – For sure!! I called and made an appt. for Saturday :)
