I don’t meant a Marine specifically, I mean could you be in the military right now and a combat soldier should war break out and everyone be enlisted?

Noooo way. Though, I have joining a gym soon :)
Back when I was Army infantry I could, but I’m waaaay too civilianized now. Don’t get me wrong I could still kill people and all, I just wouldn’t be able to walk 25 miles with a 100# ruck on to do it.
Short answer: no.
Additionally, I think the draft is wrong.
Perhaps. As I continue to gain weight I’m beginning to resemble a certain marine mammal.
Nope. I have very little patience for blindly obeying assholes.
No. I find authority amusing and cardiovascular activities painful.
I’d consider joining the Peace Corp.
Not at all. I am much too old and slow, with too many badly working parts. But if a threat came to my neighborhood or my door, I would do what I had to do.
Well I have what it takes to be in the military, as I am currently in it, but I have no interest in being in the infantry out kicking down doors and shooting people, which is why I’m in the Air Force.
Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Yes, I have what it takes to be a Marine but I chose the Army instead. And then I got smarter and left the Army and joined the Air Force which is where I am now.
being a vietnam war era college student, the draft was a painful memory ( I still remember my draft lottery number!) at 60 I could do maintenance, cook, pack parachutes, support activities and would be proud to serve my nation. and I would shoot to protect my family, friends and comrades
Nope but i respect the men and women that can. No way i wanna take a bullet, lose a limb or go through the pain of seeing a friend or child or some innocent person dying.
I respect those that can, but I know I don’t have the physical or emotional/mental strength to do it.
yeah but not quite the physical strength yet.
Only if we’re out to do something I agree with, like enforce environmental protection. Otherwise, I’m a conscientious objector.
I don’t want to have what it takes to be a marine
no, thanks
Not a chance, I’m in the Air Force and i find it that being able to do what I want when I want is way to kool.
I do have what it takes and plan on joining when I turn 17.
