What are some of your favorite compliments that other people have given you?
It may be cliched, but I love it when I get called “cute” and when people talk about how “nice” I am. Simple, but people always go far and talk about how I’m one of the nicest people they know, I’ve also had people say I have a “big heart” (my male friend said “Dominic is a man of small stature, but of big heart”). I thought that was cute coming from him… :)
I also really like it when people have said I’m “down to earth” and “easy to talk to”.

“You remind me of the meaning of levity.”
Least favorite: “You’ve lost weight!” I get it all the time. For the past 6 years. I think it’s really just the shirt that I wear that day. I wish people would just compliment my shirt rather than reminding me that I’m overweight.
@trumi: UGH!! I really resent that one, too. I should be appreciative of the “compliment,” but dammit, it sure seems to come across as “I’m sure glad you’re not so FAT anymore!”
Especially when nothing’s changed. Then they’re just basically saying “I’m sure glad I think you’re not so fat anymore.”
My yearbooks always included how sweet, cute and nice I am.
just sayin’
“You have beautiful eyes/ lips.”
I like when people tell me I am understanding and helpful.
I’m not sure if this counts as a compliment, but a lot of times I’ve been told that when someone first sees me they think I look like a bitch and then they are so surprised how sweet I am.
A good friend of mine…
“I want to be close to you as you get older, I’d love to have a second husband like you… interesting, handsome, smart and funny, please, don’t you ever change!”
when people say I’m different.
hopefully they weren’t just trying to bone me lol.
“I can’t believe how good the third, fourth and fifth time were.
My boyfriend never lasts that long.”
“I wish I was half as human as you are.”
“You are so funny.”
don’t judge me
“When I’m with you, I feel safe”
“Have you gotten smarter? We thought so!”
“You are a sarcastic, belligerent S.O.B. and very funny as well.”
When I first met a friend of mine, he remembered me from when I performed at my school’s open mic night and called me the magical poet. It made me blush.
I don’t know. This question makes me wish I could remember them, but that’s pretty hard, since I tend to screen them out.
I think the nicest compliment I ever got was from a man I used to work with. My son, then aged 11, came to see me at the Home Show that I was working, and my coworker told me later that he had met the nicest young man ever at that day’s Home Show. When I asked about it, he proceeded to tell me that this young man had the most impeccable manners, and was respectful, and said yes sir, and was obviously raised properly. He then told me his name was Mike and that his mom should be very proud of him and of herself for having raised him by herself. My eyes welled up before my coworker made some light comedic remark to lighten the mood, but I have never forgotten how proud I was at that moment.
Some lady told me I should be in movies, “you look like an actor” she said.
