Driving my car vs transporting from New York to California?
Am moving from NY to Calif in May and can’t decide whether I should drive my sports car or have it transported. Time is not a constraint. I read that it costs about $1500 and varied positive/ negative experiences with car transporters from minor to severe damage or no damage. Does anyone have an comments or preference of northern vs southern route for a drive?

I would make a road trip out of it. Seriously- how often in life do we have a chance to take a trip like that? It would be a
great adventure especially if you bring along a fun friend.
I would drive it even alone. I envy you for the opportunity.
In May either north or south would be a gorgeous drive. If time isn’t a factor why would you transport instead of driving? You’ll miss scads of great sights and fascinating people. And why a sports car if not for driving?
Drive. Take I-80 the whole way. You’ll get to see the country and avoid the hassle of shipping your car.
Drive. It’s a great experience that not many people get to do. I took I-80 the whole way and it was something that I will never forget. The drive from Reno to Cheyenne is absolutely breathtaking!
If you have the time, I would drive. My MIL paid to have my nephews car shipped to NC from California and it was a real pain.
Definitely drive. My sister and I drove form South Carolina to Washington State a few years back and had a great time. Now is a perfect time of year for doing it, too. If time is not an issue for you, I say you should take the drive.
