Collar bone piercings?
I’ve been thinking about getting the collar bone piercings done for awhile now. I would have the surface piercings done, where a bar would be laying under my skina nd the two balls ont he end would be on the surface. I’m really into changing my look but I want to know if it will be a easy piercings?
& for guys : would you find that attractive ?
– some guys say yes because it’s something new and different, rather then the normal naval piercings.

Why would it matter if guys found it attractive? You should do body modifications for yourself, not others.
I don’t think it’s a good idea.
Show me a “tramp stamp” over anything else!
I agree with Casheroo, if you really care if guys find it attractive than it probably isn’t a good idea for you to be doing anything that is going to be that expensive and have that length of healing time at this point in your life. I have a whole bunch of piercings, I have done them all for me and no one else. If you want to “change your look” dye your hair. Don’t modify your body unless you’re 100% sure you want it and that it’s for the right reason…and looking cute to guys is not the right reason.
No. That’s not attractive. That’s attention-seeking and needy. Be yourself. Don’t go through unnecessary, painful body mutilation to make yourself attractive. Just be you. There are plenty of men who’ll find you more than attractive without shoving metal through your bones.
I think the neck piercings are gross.
CORSET piercings however, are hot. As this thread indicates, though, I might be one of the few here that think so.
@Poser
I was about to write a long reply- but you hit the nail on the head. I imagine this poster is also quite young- I always wonder what people who do these kinds of things to themselves in a fit of adolescent whimsy think about them when they are walking into an office trying to get a well-paying job.
Why do people assume that only kids are interested in this sort of thing? That responsible, self-sufficient, smart adults are too good for body modification?
@poofandmook
I am not assuming in general, but in this specific case. I assoiciate insecurity with youth- this is someone doing this not because she wants it but to appeal to men.
When I read her question about guys finding it attractive, my first thought was not that she was doing it in order that guys would find her more attractive, but more along the lines of her wanting to do it for herself, but being hesitant to do so if people would find it unattractive, therefore making finding a mate more difficult than it has to be.
I am not doing this for any guy in any way. I want to do this because i find it cool and I think it would be a nice change it’s something different and something that isn’t just a plain old piercing. The reason I ask about if guys like it is because I dont want to have it look trashy like a tramp stamp.
@poofandmook: You’re so not alone. Add me to the list of people who kinda find it hot.
@kayysamm Maybe so, but to me it seems like unnecessary attention-getting behavior. If it’s your thing, by all means, have at it. I’m not saying that I wouldn’t be attracted to a girl who did that, but it’d be a red flag.
I can understand where people think its for attention. If it brings attention okay cool whatever, but I want it more because I find it attractive.
@kayysamm Then more power to ya’ sister. I say punch it!
Haha, I actually just got a job yesterday : )
So, my first paycheck is going to strickly that and my zipper piercing :D
yeah it will be in my clevage area. It will be three surface peircings and they will be conected to look liek a zipper going down.
I had my collarbones pierced last May, for graduation. I had mine done by a professional, they surfaced in October and hurt like a bitch. I loved them though, I got tons of compliments on them! Its not your average piercing and you get a ton of second looks, and people saying “at first I thought you were wearing a necklace” They are easy to show or hide… I’m getting mine redone….if you do decide to get them done, make sure you either get the flex bars, which is like plastic bars, that pregnant women use for there belly buttons. I had mine done with u-shaped stainless bars, which I was told afterward that the piercer should have known better not to use those. I’m getting mine redone with microdermals. More expensive, permanent, and won’t have to worry about them surfacing.
My friend has this piercing, it’s stunning. I suggest getting surface anchors. Try to get the ones that are a perfect “T” shape, rather than one side of the dermal being longer than the other. I have a surface bar in the back of my neck (a nape piercing). It has healed/behaved for me very well for the past year or so.
Remember that they may reject, even if you take good care of them. One of my friend’s anchors rejected, because it gets irritated on many things (clothes, seatbelts, etc).
