The first thing I thought when I saw it was “The future is going to be sweet!” I think the Hub is a really, really good idea.

I saw some commercials for it and I thought it looked really cool.
I can’t see what’s so revolutionary about that device at all. Every single one of its features exists today. In fact, it seems to function exactly as my iPod Touch does, minus the phone aspects.
@dynamicduo I think the revolutionary thing about it is the fact that it is designed to be like a home phone. It’s a simple concept but still really cool.
I’m wondering what the point is when I already have a laptop that can do most, if not all of that.
I saw a commercial for that last night and thought it was cool. Seems like a natural progression from the cell phone.
It looks pretty cool. I just wonder if they are trying to fill a niche that isn’t there. Anyone who would really use all of those features probably already has a smartphone/laptop/PDA. Anyone who wouldn’t use them would find little reason to switch from their land line. That, and replacing a technology as ubiquitous as land-line telephones is going to be difficult.
@Ivan I think it will easily replace landlines. I think people want to have one central phone line and I think with texting being as popular as it is this will seamlessly combine them.
