If you have to wonder, you probably do.
If you start breaking things and screaming profanities and wreaking general havoc on everyone and everything in your immediate vicinity, it’s possible or even probable that you have anger issues.
I’ve been witness to someone behaving in this very fashion so that is where my answer emanates from.
If someone close to you has told you that you do, you probably do.
Generally other people make someone aware of the fact… normally it’s obvious because it starts to have negative effects on that person’s relationships.
Some people only figure it out when a judge tells them as much.
If angry people insist on holding on to denial then they may never find out
Oh, lots of ways:
you get told a lot that “honey attracts more bees than vinegar”
people keep telling you, “it’s okay, it’s okay- you’ll be fine- breathe”
small children and pets avoid you
people at work stop talking when you’re about and try not to meet your gaze
you wonder why “everyone else” is so stupid
you have so many great ideas about society but no one listens to you
people use the word “intense” to describe you but not while smiling
I think that because this Q was on my Questions for You page, I do.
If your anger interferes with your life then it is an “issue”. That is the general rule in counseling anyhow. If (the problem) interfers with your daily living routine then it is a “problem”. Also if you are hurting others then it is a problem even if it doesn’t interfere with your daily routine.
Why the F^&*K are you asking me!
It’s not like I’m angry but maaaaan this question really irks me!!!!!!!!!!
When you recognize that your anger is not having the intended consequences, and is self-defeating.
It will be reflected back to you in the hurt, bewildered faces of your friends and family.
You know when it happens, you feel it, and you can’t stop it; you must leave immediately, gain composure; but how can you when you feel like you are out of you mind.
I have been there, fortunately not for a long while, but I do know a lot of people who have major problems with controlling their temper- almost everybody I work with.
The only thing I can say is, find something in your past that sensationaly relaxes you ahead of time stuck in your head, and when you do go ape, and while you are going ape-try and reflect on it, and remove your self fom the scene until you calm down and relax.
@Garebo
Or just get bigger frizzers for the increase in bodies. :)
@Facade Oh no! You don’t know what a frizzer is? SeventhSense please link him as I don’t know how to link.
i’m a girl. notice the black dress in my avatar.
@fireside lol thanks
@seventhsense I still don’t know what it is
Foshizzle my dizzle and take the stain from the drain but keep your powder dry. You see?
@Facade Sorry, I can’t see these small avatars and can’t enlarge them on my computer.
My neck and shoulders were always tense and sore, but I didn’t have a job that involved heavy lifting. That’s when I knew I had some issues.
@Facade
The ice cream is to be stored in the frizzer or else the pool boy will take it to the cabana.

@Facade Click on the red ‘frizzer’ link above, and it will take you to the questions where frizzer is mentioned.
@augustlan I saw it mentioned, but i didn’t see (when I was scanning) what it actually is…then again I am medicated lol
Make sure you click on the first link SeventhSense listed. That question is where ‘frizzer’ originated. Our best guess is that the asker meant ‘freezer’. Look at it anyway, it is definitely worth a read!
@fireside – If holes in walls indicate an anger problem then my son has cornered the market.
Most people with anger issues know they have anger issues, evidence posted above. They know they get unreasonably angry… but they are in denial about it.They’re convinced it only crops up under “extraordinary circumstances” where anybody else would become just as angry or irrational.
But you know, those “extraordinary circumstances” just happen to them with unusal frequency. They just have bad luck, or attract “problem people” to them that make them blow up with frequency. But they’re totally normal people in abnormal situations!
Hi, I have anger issues, and I’m in slightly less denial these days than I used to be.
Consistent feedback from others.
when you can’t find healthy ways of releasing it and then you feel guilty
