Have you seen a high-altitude airbust of a thermonuclear weapon at night?

It’s actually quite beautiful in a way. The fireball turns into something resembling a jellyfish.

only on TV…Trinity and Beyond. It was an excellent show that documents the history of A-Bomb testing in the USA.

Are you ready
for that great atomic power?

Will you rise and meet your savior
in the air?

Will you shout or will you cry
when the fire rains from on high?

Are you ready
for that great atomic power?

No, and I actually hope I never do.

No, I’ve never seen this and just the thought of it is frightening considering the massive death and destruction that can result from nuclear weapons systems.

Do I hear some of the score from the original, Planet of The Apes movie?

We can only hope that North Korea is once again flexing their muscles. They do have the largest army in the world with the heaviest fortified border. Although somewhat antiquated with no air power. If they push the button I don’t see an alternative. Latest statement from North Korea: If Japan recklessly “intercepts” the DPRK’s satellite for peaceful purposes, the KPA will mercilessly deal deadly blows not only at the already deployed intercepting means but at major targets.

@VzzBzz I’m pretty sure this was ripped from Trinity and Beyond, which credits William T. Strombeg for original music.
