Do you try to be a concientious driver?

i try to be super courteous. my rule is do whatever you want on the road but be courteous about it and don’t hit anything. :)

I try to be aware of what’s going on..adhering to ninjacolin’s rule lol

I am a very defensive driver. I always assume everyone is out to kill me on the road, and drive accordingly. I also always use the blinkers and keep my headlights on, even during the summer days. The latter enhances your visibility x10, while signalling helps let others know of your intent. Sometimes, the surprise of a “sudden” turn (without having signalled beforehand) can cause the accident.

Also, I keep a saaaaaaaaaaaaaaafe distance from the car in front of me.

I try to be courteous to other drivers but I’m horrible at following the speeding laws. if you don’t believe me, you can ask one of the FIFTEEN officers that have issued me citations for it in the past 13 months. Since my last one, I’ve been trying to slow down because I had to have a meeting with the revenue office about keeping my license and one more ticket and BLAMO! Game over for 1 year.

Walking through grocery store aisles, I’m amazed at the average person’s complete lack of situational awareness. They’ll take up the entire width of an aisle while deciding on what kind of Chip’s Ahoy to buy for their fat-ass kids, and not even notice (or perhaps care, but I’m an optimist) that three people can’t get by.

Then, when I get out on the road, I’m amazed that even wielding a multi-ton wheeled WMD, they are just as clueless.

I, of course, never fall into the category of “average.” I am an excellent driver and shopper, and make my kids run five miles a day.

I try to be courteous when I’m driving but sometimes I do cut people off. Most of the time i forget silly rules like my turn signal to go down my street.

More then likely though I’m always looking in the rearview mirror because I’m so scared to get in a wreck. So I guess you can say I check my surroundings.

Always, as far as i can be. I ALWAYS use my indicators when there’s a car in the vicinity, and i look in my mirrors before making any moves. Daft and inconsiderate drivers get on my nerves!
