You need to supply some more details – a bra that is great for a B cup wearer is not going to work for a D cup wearer. Is this for everyday wear or for high impact activities? Do you prefer under wire bras? All sorts of things will impact whether or not you like a certain bra.

@syz : agreed.
Can you tell us your size? I have recommendations based on my own, but the type of bra that’s best for you and where you should buy it is heavily dependent on your size.
If you’re a busty girl like me, it’s hard to find a good DD bra. If that’s what you’re looking for, and I can only assume it is because smaller cups are in abundance, I have two suggestions. The first is Fruit of the Loom Perfect T-shirt bra. I used to be able to find it at Walmart, but the ones by me don’t seem to carry it anymore. So I’ve switched to another, similar one, which I think I like better. Vasserette (sp?) t-shirt bra… not sure of the actual name of it but it’s pretty much the same thing. Nice, wide straps, comfy material, durable underwires, little but very supportive padding. Also at Walmart.
If you are looking for a bigger size, as poof references above, Lane Bryant’s bras are excellent. You might not think to shop there if you don’t wear plus-sized clothing, but their bra line is designed for bustier women of any frame size.
It is called Cacique
The bras are almost always buy one get one 1/2 off. They have wide straps and thicker bands for support. Plus, they are actually cute and sexy! Just because I wear a 38DDD doesn’t mean I want an old lady bra!
Good luck and happy shopping!
What ever fits well. It’s not the bra so much as the fit. Nordstrom does a great job of fitting the right bra. tell them your budget and let them fit you.
Vanity Fair makes a bra called, body shine or body sleeks, something like that. They are underwired, smooth finish, lightly lined but not padded and have a good width of shoulder strap. I bought them exclusively when I had large breasts but they make the same bra in smaller cup sizes so I still buy them now. The price has always been under $30.00 and I’ve found them in all department stores as well as Wal Mart, Target, Kmart, Kohl’s, etc. The main selling feature for me is the cup shape since they don’t push the breasts into a cone.
FYI ladies, Macys is having a buy 2 get 2 free bra sale this weds.
