I’m male.. And live in a cold and wet environment… Any lotions that I can use that will prevent my hands from looking like an iguana?

bag balm, originally used by vets for cows’ udders and the like, is the hand-cream of choice of models, farmers, chefs, gardners, surgeons, etc. Many sites on google. Here’s one.
Bag balm
I really like these two lotions the best and are great for dry hands.
Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Both work great and provide lasting protection for your dry hands. What’s nice about the Aveeno, is you can use it on not just your hands, but the rest of your body, providing 24-hour protection. Aveeno can be bought at any Target, Walmart, or grocery store, while Kiehl’s can only be purchased at high end department store’s like Saks or Barney’s.
Good luck and always reapply moisturizer after you wash and dry your hands to keep them moisturized.

I am a big fan of Burt’s Bees. All of their products run a little expensive for what they are, but I have never found anything better.
The lizards I know all use Bag Balm.
Try Ahava – I like it and its not too greasy
Ahava is good for just dry or slightly irritated skin, but not for “lizard skin.”
I swear by Skin Food by Weleda. I worked in food service for a while and had to wash my hands 50+ times a day, nothing else helped but this stuff. It is ridiculously expensive but worth it if you have lizard hands. It rubs in pretty well too, so you won’t be leaving greasy hand prints everywhere you go.

Bag Balm is great! But if you want to treat yourself and go swank, it’s hard to go wrong with L’Occitane.
I love Purely Shea products. The owner is a pharmacist who had lizard hands from chemicals and the only thing that worked for her was organic shea butter. You can learn more at http://www.purelyshea.com
