Parents: What would you do if you caught your child making (or just in possession of) a fake ID?

My mom just busted my 20 year old step-brother and his 18 year old friends making fake IDs in our house. My step-brother lives here and doesn’t have a job nor does he pay rent. If he got caught and went to jail, my mom would be the one bailing him out and paying his fines.

Apparently one of the kid’s parents said they didn’t care if he has a fake ID, which alarms me. The kids know they can get arrested for this, yet they don’t care. Even worse, they thought it was completely okay to just come over to our house and make the IDs using my parents’ computer, printer, and paper, which I find completely disrespectful and rude.

My point is, yes, I know kids are going to do stupid shit. They’re going to get in trouble. But what kind of parent knowingly turns a blind eye to their child’s illegal activities? Would you?
