Of course. :) It’s refrigerated, it’s fine.

Oh yes, definitely. I believe chicken is fine in the fridge for like a week

It will taste even better having marinated 24 hours.

@jonsblond that is exactly what I was thinking :)

I got marinade going yesterday but then something came up which put off cooking for a day.
Thanks for the input. Dinner without anxiety makes for better digestion.

I’ll post my recipe if it turns out ok.

I would agree that there is no problem if marinating in the fridge. Just don’t put the marinade on the cooked chicken, unless it has been cooked with the chicken, since it would have raw chicken cooties—and chicken always does have to be well cooked.

Yes, if the chicken is fresh, overnight and refrigerated is safe. I hope it is also covered, but even if not, it should be OK.

Overnight yes. A week is iffy.

Yes it is okay to eat it, but throw away the marinade and do not baste the chicken with it while cooking. Use fresh marinade if you like.

Ditto to @BBSDTfamily on throwing out the old marinade and applying fresh marinade once it’s cooked. :)
