Where do you go in the real world when you want to be digitally intimate?

My bed. Fluffy pillows. Bowl of Cheerios, hold the milk.

To make any connections online, deep or otherwise in the real world, I have to go to the second bedroom in my house which is where my computer is. There is a lamp on the right and a set of filing cabinets on the left, next to my computer table.

If I really need to set the mood for those intimate connections on Fluther, I’ll activate my lava lamp, turn down the lights, burn some incense, and hope there are some ladies on Fluther who are feeling rather promiscuous in a digital kind of way. If that’s the case, I’ll settle into my groove and be virtually intimate in a gentlemanly but frisky kind of way. =)

Let me guess. Too much information right? I wanted to be thorough. Sorry.

Sitting on my bed with my laptop and a cup of coffee.

It’s difficult being intimate anywhere without digits.

My bed, glass of water on the night stand and a 72lb fluff ball at the foot of the bed…then my husband comes in! (enter the snoring!)

I’m here at my desk, overhead built in light, two softer lights on either side, & a glass of wine at my elbow. I hear the TV from the living room & my grandpa’s antique clock softly ticking from the wall here. I’m ready to go. Bring it on. ;-)

Yikes, I thought you were asking about where to go to…entwine your fingers with someone else’s and do other fingerly things. I came here expecting juicy answers. Only Gail’s head bent that way.

hard to answer when my ideal real world place doesn’t involve a computer anywhere in the picture… I guess… maybe under a tree on some nice green grass with some big huge fluffy white clouds floating by

Hmmm. Not that I do this anymore, but in the past…. My home office, sitting at a desk, preferably late, late at night, so no interruptions. Sometimes in my bed with the laptop. That’s the most convenient. Although also the scene of a serious meltdown. I’ve also done it in my work office. Door closed, of course. I was a very unhappy and somewhat ill man at the time.

I used to sit up until midnight or later & write on another site…write PMs, emails, etc. That was my favorite time, too. All my daily stuff was done & it was my time. But that came to an end & now I catch computer time when I can between this & that.
