Never. What good is having a brilliant idea if you can’t tell anyone about it? Even if I were an inventor, at some point you’d have to tell people about your idea.
my secret pheromone recipe is locked away, and you’ll never get it.
Never.. I drink a lot and can’t shut up when I drink.
And I actually don’t mind sharing a good idea. I will just yell “It is on bitches!” and see who can do the best job at implementing the idea.
In massage school, when I learned a new awesome technique, I’d reveal it only after I had to do a practical on the instructor so I got original credit. I usually ended up sharing in the end. Especially if someone asked what it was that I did to them…
When writing computer code. I like to implement my ideas first. If somebody’s interested in how I did it, then I’ll show them. So I guess I only keep them to myself for a little while.
When they are not mature enough. When I need more time to ponder other aspects related to the idea. In some cases I came to the conclusion that it’s better to dismiss the idea altogether and keep thinking about those (brilliant) ideas which seem more promising.
I like to share information whenvever i learn something new, im horrible and keeping it quiet and to myself.
I’ll kick them around in private until I’m reasonably sure they will work. I used to be required to keep quiet until the patent was filed. Now that I’m on my own, it’s my choice.
Pssst! Don’t tell anyone! I have the 200 MPG fuel injection system in my desk at home but the oil company paid me to keep it quiet.
I keep them to myself when I don’t think I can get anyone to take action on them. I’m tired of pounding my head against a file cabibet.
I wish I had brilliant ideas so that I could properly answer this question. If I have any in the future, though, I’m going to share them with everyone because they would probably benefit many rather than just myself.
@eponymoushipster…Sex Panther is no secret my friend.
Do you mean this question in the way everybody has answered it? If so I feel very un-brilliant because I took it as, “Have you ever taken credit for somebody else’s idea?”.
When they are repressed via the suppression of open discussion.
@Ivan…Will you share some of that brilliance with us right now? Don’t hide your light under a bushel.
Can’t think of an instance….even if I had original brilliant ideas I’d at least tell about it to my partner and best friend
My most brilliant ideas
don’t make any sense
well if I told you that would defeat the purpose now wouldn’t it?
I just had one. I don’t really feel like sharing.
When it would have benifited a shitty employer.
It’s all about the timing. If others aren’t up to a foundation level of how good a given idea might be, I just wait. Once they understand the nuanced concepts and can ask intelligent questions about something, then I can assess the extent to which a given “brilliant” idea might be beneficial. This is another way of saying if they aren’t bright enough to get it (I work for state government), then wait them out (they will either develop the knowledge necessary to understand the implications or they will be leaving with the next governor).
No point sharing an idea that will go absolutely no place because people can’t appreciate an answer if they are unaware of the magnitude of the question.
I think I have a low self esteem because I like to tell everyone loll.
