I used to get them when I was in my teens till I reached my early 40’s and still do occasionally due to stress. But also, If you are prone to migraines which it sounds like you could be. There are foods and beverages you should avoid that DO trigger migraines in people!

I would suggest keeping a food diary of everything that you ‘eat and drink’ for at least two months maybe even 3 months to figure out what happens and when. I discovered for myself that I could get a migraine up to at least 5 or more days after eating something or drinking something that causes migraines!

If you go to a doctor they should have a list to give you, or a neurologist who is the one that gave me the list. You might be able to search online now and find the same thing but when I had first been diagnosed it was before the internet time frame.

Hope this helps. I can tell you a few things from memory if you want to send me a private message I can tell you the ones I remember.

Migraines are usually genetic, based on a specific set of problem chemicals in the most primitive part of the brain. I used to get them pretty regularly, but they were set off not by foods, but by certain odors and stress. I was prescribed Xanax for them, and I don’t get them so much anymore. There are numerous ways to combat them, and medicine is usually just one approach.
