My Oncologist says always to err on the side of caution. His readings have left him telling his patients to eat it rarely or never. He believes that there haven’t been enough definitive studies done. I am a 13+ year survivor and skip the soy, except for raw edamame beans, which are not fermented.
Check the sources of any one who says that soy products are good or safe for breast cancer survivors. Any reputable medical site cautions agains it. and yes, I am a survivor
My mother is currently fighting breast cancer, her doctors said to avoid it as well.
<<big hug to all>> thanks very much – i told my mom to stay away from soy products
(((hugs))
all i know is, i’ve read that boys shouldn’t have a lot of soy products because of what it does to their chests. i imagine it can have an effect on women as well. i do love me some edamame though :(
