I love this one by Queens of the Stone Age. I feel like dancing on a table every time I hear it.
@jonsblond That’s a classic!!! ca ca ca ca ca co caine!!!
Pantera, Motorhead, Psyopus, Hatebreed, and Anthrax get me going. I try not to listen while I’m driving, because I will speed.
The Squirrel Nut Zippers song Hell.
Guaranteed to make me drive 20 miles an hour faster than I was.
Also, the Trial from Pink Floyd’s The Wall. I will primal scream whenever that plays.
Rearview Mirror by Pearl Jam.
Grrrrr
Numb/Encore by Jay-z and Linkin Park. I have no idea why. it just gets my adrenaline pumping. plus that beat is sick.
Dead and gone by TI
We Care A Lot – Faith No More
Violent Pornography – System of a Down
Handlebars – Flobots
“I’m on Fire” – Bruce Springsteen. The first time I heard it, I was driving and I nearly had to pull over. I thought he was talking to me!
Right Here, Right Now – Fatboy Slim
This has been my “get pumped up” song for a while now, I have no idea why, but it does.
Discontent by Poison Idea makes me want to fuck shit up, in a bad way!
currently it is “Keep Hope Alive” -The Crystal Method
Also The Talking Heads: Girlfriend is Better
Guerilla Radio- Rage Against The Machine
Assassin- Muse
By The Way- Red Hot Chili Peppers
Sound of Music- Joy Division
“Maniac” from Flashdance
“Thunder Road” Bruce Springsteen
“I Will Survive” Irene Cara
@janbb any answer with Bruce’s name in it gets lurve from me!!
@VS Yeah – just about any Bruce song gets my juices flowing one way or another. I’m not a demonstrative person but I’ve been to his concerts with my sons and been dancing in the aisles.
I wasn’t a fan of his until the late 1970s (which was late for an Asbury Park girl) when my brother had an extra ticket for a concert at the old Carlton Theatre in Red Bank. I was blown away by him and the E-Street band in performance. I think he always gives 150%.
@janbb Thunder Road is great! I prefer the live version, though. You can easily miss the beauty of the song, otherwise.
@janbb – Bruce made a believer out of me in the early 70s and I have been a fan since. Fell out with his politics for a short while, but I believe he gives the best concert value for the money. I saw him for the 4th time last August in North Charleston and was stunned at his endurance…solid three hours, no breaks!! And he’s my age!! If I tried to slide on my knees across half the stage like he did, I’d be crippled!!
And one song that never gets the attention that it should, in my opinion, is Brilliant Disguise. The video is as good as it gets for me!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fx0E6EbpSn0
For Nirvana I looovveeee Frances Farmer
Although personally I don’t miss the comfort in being sane.
Bullet in the head – Rage Against the Machine
War Pigs – Black Sabbath
Mr. Brownstone – Guns N Roses
Saw Red (Bandolero) – Sublime
Just about any Rage Against The Machine song, come to think of it.
true. That one in particular incites violence for me .
Rancid is pretty raw as well. Blakc Flag and Dropkick Murphey’s (old stuff) too.
Silverf***/Over the Rainbow by the Smashing Pumpkins from the Viephoria DVD. Gets me so pumped!
Bohemian Rhapsody always makes me sing out loud. My kids too. I wouldn’t say it gives me that bad ass punch people in the face feeling, but it makes me happy and it feels great to sing loud.
Galileo figaro-magnifico!!!!!!!!!!!
just like heaven – the cure
this must be the place – talking heads
i wouldn’t say i get “riled” up but i always have to hear these after i’ve had a few. they’re good dance party songs.
