Do ‘over nighters’ count?

Well I had a few…
but usually just let out the next morning with a promise to appear.

Charges were dropped on another case.
So I have not had it negatively affect my life.

No, never even arrested. I can’t actually imagine doing anything that would put me there.

Just the six years I was married to Bitchzilla.

When I was a detention officer for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, I was incarcerated inside a jail for 8 hours a day for 2 years while I supervised inmates. Does that count?

One way it affected me was that I learned that our justice system isn’t always fair and I learned a lot about people and their behaviors from spending so much time around inmates in the correctional system.

No, I haven’t. I never even had detention in school, let alone an arrest. When I get pulled over, which is very rare, I can’t help but cry. I hate to be “in trouble” and am a total wimp!

My husband, in his wayward youth, was arrested a few times. Stupid kid stuff, nothing violent or predatory. Only once did he have to spend the night in jail, and that was the last time. It inspired him to change his ways, go back home, get a job, and go back to school. Luckily for him, I met him after that, when he had his act together. :)

Not yet and I hope never to be.

I had an overnight-er once. Not fun. I got stuck in a cell with a Cheech Marin look-alike that had to tell me all about his issues with child support. He looked like he hadn’t bathed in weeks.

LOL, never got caught. >:)

@Bluefreedom I know what you mean. I spent a short period of time doing similar work – and sometimes you feel just as locked up as the inmates.
