Why do crazy people try to get you to think the world is ending and do you belive the world will end?

Many so called endings of the world have not happened the 6/6/06 did not happend and the 1999 did not happen any ideas or are they just a bunch of idiots.

The world will exist long after human beings have become fossil record. I wouldn’t worry.
The reason why we try to get you to think the world will end is so that you will think we are crazy. If you think we are crazy, you won’t listen to us, and then when the world does end, you won’t be ready, and we’ll be first in line to get all the goodies!
Now, I don’t know why you want to know when the world will end, because surely it will make you feel bad, but since you asked, It will end precisely eleventy three years, sixty-five months, eight hundred and forty three days, five hours, seventy two minutes and fourteen… no fifteen seconds from now.
No, from now.
I mean now.
And you wonder why we’re crazy? Having to answers questions like this would drive anyone crazy. We just had a head start.
I knew there was a good reason for having the time and date on each post – I just hadn’t figured it out
Of course the world will end.. eventually.. but no one will predict the date.
The world ended threee minutes ago, but daloon and I agreed not to tell the clueless people.
The world is ending. People who believe they know the actual date try to warn everyone else. But if they truly think they’ve got it right, then there’s nothing more to say to them. Just smile politely.
well, as far as when and how the world will end, I look at it this way…
when you step on a tack, how often are you aware of it before you do it? it could happen tomorrow, it could happen 5 billion years from now…
i don’t think that people who think the world will end are ‘crazy’. i think they believe in predictions past civilizations have made. that doesn’t make them any more crazy than people who believe in god, aliens, or fluther.

Occasionally I have the nasty idea that the world has come to an end and this is all we have left (I believe I expressed this thought in another thread).
What kills me is the last time, some guy hit on a plan to board “believers” pets against the ending of the earth. He made a killing.
