I have a 1st generation iPhone. Will I be able to download the new OS 3.0?

I wonder if that’s only for 3G phones or is it a new phone or an upgrade all iPhones can accomodate?

Yes all iPhones will be able to get it. But 1st gen phones will not be able to send and recieve MMS messages.

MMS = multi media messaging. Basically pictures and videos.
