I have alot of pictures from an old computer that I want to save but they were all .MIX files and I can’t do anything with them.

Mix files seem to be the Microsoft Picture It format used by Microsoft’s PictureIt!
I think some versions of MS Word will import them and from there you can Save As .jpg
XnView should be able to convert them for you. Beats having to import/export them all one at a time.
Have you had experience with this XnView? I checked the specks and it didn’t mention Mix Files.
Well crud… according to the good folks at XnView, .mix
is a closed format and they recommend trying to use plugins, specifically Xcompound.dll that comes with the complete XnView.
I haven’t yet determined how to get the complete version.
I’m still looking. If you come up with any sure fire ways to handle it I would be gratefull for the info! The Recomend trying makes me thik they don’t know. Thanks Man!
Apparently if you add the files to a Word document and then Save As web page then they get saved as jpgs in a folder.
Thank you Lercio I will try that. “Tell me twice and I may get it tellme three times and I will understand.” LOL
I did not get it the first time… that’s why I posted again.
