Jailbreaking my iphone?

I’m thinking of jailbreaking my iphone, it’s OS is 2.2.1, baseband is 02.30.03.
From what I’ve read, 2.30.03 has yet to be unlocked, but do I need to worry myself with that if I’m using an att sim card and only want to be able to install unsigned apps?

Nope. Unlocking lets you use your iPhone with other carriers. You dot want to do this, so unlocking is irrelevant.
