What is wrong with the Macaroni and Cheese box?

This might be a silly question. The side of the Macaroni and Cheese box has a spot where it says “to open push here.” Why is it that it NEVER works? I just end up tearing the top of the box to get it opened. Is it just me or does that happen to others? What’s the point of having it there if it doesn’t really open the box? I don’t really care, but I am curious.
