Help with winRAR file?
If you download a winRAR file, what needs to be done to access it? Anything special? I apologize if this is an idiotic question. :D

Download winrar.
It’s a free download. This will open those *.rar files you have.
Are you on a Mac.. For some reason I think you are. Winrar is king on a PC.
Nope, no Mac. I’m Sara, 24-years-old, and I’m a PC. ;)
Ha.. Go with winrar linked above.
Is there something you can use without downloading anything? Maybe I’ll finally be able to play the file uberbatman had me download.
winrar is easy. it’s just like winzip. it’s a lightweight install
So if I downloaded multiple files and they showed up as winRAR, I definitely have to download that thing you linked to to extract the files?
Okay, cool. Yeah… I knew this would be an idiotic question. lol :)
Thanks for your help.
I thought it was a good question. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help.
Yeah, you’re right. I just don’t give myself enough credit when it comes to knowing my way around computers, I guess. Better safe than sorry though, I suppose. :)
I thought it was a good question. I was wondering the same thing.
Wait, that’s a free download, but it’s only a trial version, no?
I recommend 7-zip over winRar, but yeah, you just need some software to decompress the .rar archive.
@petethepothead It is a commercial product.
You can use the trial indefinitely but they’ll bug you to buy a copy.
Yeah, 7-zip is free software.
And it’s 1MB
To avoid being bugged by winRar to buy it just right click on all your files and hit extract here or extract to (file name folder) and it will just extract automatically without having to go through the wizard.
7zip is free and supports everything. Get it over winrar!
