I have an iPhone book app of Myths and Legends of Ancient Greece and Rome by E.M. Berens. It’s a pretty famous book on mythology from the 19th century. It was originally written for school age children so it’s an easy read. You could probably find an online version somewhere as it is public domain.
…i love mythology…if you love the subject, it helps…occasionally, i swim in it, and other times, i’ll drown in it…
What is your goal?
Search for Joseph Campbell. He was the authority on myth. Look for the “Heroes Journey” and “The Power of Myth” tv documentary series.

I just want to learn as much as I can. I’m manly focusing on Egyptian and Greek, I wouldn’t mind learning Norse as well.
For a beginner to mythology, I would turn to Edith Hamilton’s Mythology.
I learned some the old fashioned way, studying and reading edith hamilton, but my bd knows a better range than me and he just played rhe game the age of mytholgy
…this is what i did: i got a card at my public library…i read all they had- Egyptian and Greek stuff is really good and usually readily available…if not, most public libraries have a transfer program in which you can get just about any book or material related to your subject of interest from other libraries, and some librarian are really good and helpful at what they do…it was quite a bit of reading, but i loved it…the web allowed me to expand, but i had to be careful and open minded, as some material was different to the point of contradictory- siting references becomes crucial…
Here is a summary of the Edith Hamilton book.
