I add stuff like sticks of carrot, prawns or what vegetables I find in my fridge and eat it with my lovely chopsticks, and I always add some drops of sesame oil. Some of my friends like frying the noodles with vegetables, but I don’t like it.
Yes, sesame oil and a bit of hot sauce will cover a multitude of faults. You could also stir in some scrambled egg for protein, or peanuts. Or both!
If you want something basic—I eat chicken flavor (drained) with some shredded cheese melted in.
I have a feeling that a recipe that would produce the best results would start something like this:
1. Open Instant Noodles
2. Gently place noodles in garbage can
...
Delicious instant noodles is another classic oxymoron. I’m with mjoyce, particularly if he’s a relative of James.
Buy a cheap jar of spaghetti sauce of some kind. You can get some delicious sauces for something like 4 dollars a jar for a good amount.
Once, I tried some ramen with honey and craisins and it was delicious! It may sound weird, but it’s pretty good.

Well, If I ever find the magic lamp one day, I’m absolutely gonna make my first wish
to have a very professional Chinese food restaurant in the middle of my house.
But since the Magical Lamp is not real, and since the nearest Chinese food restaurant to me is a couple miles away from me, so I can only get there during my holidays, and not to mention the fact that it’s pretty expensive. Which leaves me no choice but to look for substitutes.
Very inferior, I know, but what can I do? :)
you’ll need a wok, or some large cooking pan thing. Also a bag of cheap frozen veggies, preferably the “asian style”.
Nuke veggie according to directions. Cook ramen according to directions. make sure the wok/pan is very hot with some veggie/peanut oil in it. crack an egg or two and scramble it. Dump the broth and add the noodles and mix it with the egg. Then dump the veggies and mix some more. Add some soy sauce, or your favorite asian sauce of choice, turn the heat down a little and cover for a few minutes so that the sauce has time to spread around. (you could add tamarind for a little thai flavor).
Dump into serving pan, add some sprinkled sesame seeds or crushed peanuts and serve hot as hell.
