LCD Monitor blinks for 10-15 minutes when I first turn it on. What to do?
Viewsonic VX910 LCD display worked fine with Windows XP machine. With new Vista machine, the monitor blinks on and off for about 15 minutes first thing in the morning. The only solutions I have thus far are not great. Either I 1. Wait it out, OR 2. Reboot, OR 3. Open my account (which is not easy to do since the screen is flickering). Any suggestions on how to fix this?

see if it works
if it doesn’t work check to see if your video card is loose. If it isn’t loose you either have a bad monitor, bad video card, or the wrong driver.
mrgenevan is right but if it is your moniter then just go to a trift store or something and bye one cheap they still work. my dad used to bye whole computer for $20 and mack it run like a $2000 computer so dont swet it. peace
@MrGeneVan, if it was a bad video card, would it only have that ONE problem?
Did you try to update the drivers for the video card?
Also when you say it blinks is it more of a flicker or is the monitor going into power save mode?
From what you described I would verify that all cables are plugged in tightly and try to update the drivers.
As per your suggestion, I uploaded updated drivers for the video card to no avail.
It’s a flicker. The power button goes from green to off to green to off…
I powered on the monitor this morning BEFORE I turned on the computer and the monitor flickered.
