What does it mean when you dream that you are dating your crush?

Freud says that dreams are hallucinatory wish-fulfillment, for the purpose of reducing the tension caused by repressing a wish. So this dream may be directly what it seems – your brain is tricking itself into feeling like you are dating your crush in order to reduce the tension of having repressed the wish to date him/her. Or it might be that the concepts of that person and of a water park have a deeper symbolic meaning, and that the wish the dream was trying to fulfill is a different one. There is no way to really tell unless you are in analysis, because you need another person to be paying attention to all the subtext of your life and what you are saying in order to draw out plausible and meaninfgul associations.

I don’t think it means much. It’s certainly not a magical dream message from him telling you he likes you, too. It’s more a reflection, as others have said, of what you are obsessing about.

There is a school of thought that says each character in the dream is a part of yourself. So your crush would be a part of you that you like, and you want to spend more time just appreciating this part of you. This could be an artistic talent, or just something that you want to nurture, even if it means not spending time on other important parts of you.

The water park is interesting. Again, I think it suggests a comforting and fun part of yourself that you want to spend more time with, or make it come out more. However, you just want it to come out for you, not to make you popular with others. Is there anything that sounds like? This could all be a bunch of hooey.

It’s probably your minds way of expressing what you want into your unconscious state. If you dream about someone you like/love, that tends to mean your feelings are true.
